Gökçay Ağaoğlu is specialized in capital markets law, commercial and corporate law, investment activities and transactions as well as regulatory compliance, investigations and disputes related to these areas.
She served as a legal advisor at the Capital Markets Board for a period of 25 years until 2023, during this period she provided legal consultancy to other units as well as legal representation of the Board.
She has extensive experience and up-to-date knowledge in the field of capital markets, particularly in the issuance of different financial instruments including initial public offerings of shares, mergers and acquisitions of publicly traded companies, activities of investment institutions, regulatory compliance obligations of market participants including corporate governance, functioning of financial markets, structuring of new markets, instruments and transactions, financial crimes and other investigations under the legislation.
She also has comprehensive experience in representing parties in financial markets disputes, both in litigation and negotiation processes.
She holds capital market activities advanced level license and other licenses issued by the Capital Markets Licensing, Registration and Training Board.
She also conducts mediation activities as an Expert Mediator registered in the Ministry of Justice Registry.
